Mrs. Hughes has been on the LCHS staff as a teacher and Principal since 1989. She has taught a variety of subjects including Applied Science, ADI, U.S. History, Current Issues, World Geography and Street Law.
She received a B.A. degree from Wayne State University, her teaching certification from U of M – Flint, a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University, and a Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.
Mrs. Hughes has a passion for working with at-risk youth. Her belief is that there is no bad student, just students who make bad choices. Her goal is to help students make the type of choices that have positive consequences, not only academically, but personally and socially as well.
