Enroll

Thank you for choosing Lapeer Community Schools! You can complete the enrollment process at any school building or at the Administration & Services Center located at 250 Second Street. To enroll your child into Early Fives or Kindergarten, your child must be 5 years old by September 1.  Students who turn 5 years old between September 2 and December 1 may enroll but must have a signed waiver on file. Please follow these steps to complete the enrollment process:

Forms to be filled out:

Schools of Choice Forms for the 2024-25 School Year: In-District School of Choice form or Out-of-District School of Choice form

Out-of-District Schools of Choice Windows: 

  • All Grade Levels - May 1, 2024 - September 1, 2024

  • Elementary Second Term - November 11, 2024 – November 22, 2024

  • Secondary Second Term - January 6, 2025 – January 17, 2025

Turrill/Year-Round Application - 2024-25 School Year

Required Documentation for Enrollment:

  • Original/certified or copy of birth certificate

  • Up-to-Date Immunization Record (Available at the Health Department)

  • Picture identification of parent/guardian signing the documents

  • Two proofs of residency with your name and current address:

    • Picture Identification (Picture identification is required and can also be considered as one proof ONLY if the current address is displayed on the front or back of the ID.

    • Utility bill, bank statement, or check stub (Must be dated within 2 months) Lease or purchase agreement or car registration (Must be currently active)

***If you and/or your child(ren) are living with a relative, a signed and notarized residency affidavit by you (the parent/guardian) and the homeowner is required.  Staff at the Administration & Services Center can notarize at no charge.

  • - Legal Custody/Court Documentation

  • - Legal Guardianship Documentation from the court system

  • - Special Education Documentation – Most Recent IEP & MET or 504 Plan

  • - Current Transcript/Report Card
