HAPPY AMERICORPS WEEK Each year, AmeriCorps Week is a time to recognize the commitment of the millions of AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers who have contributed billions of hours of service across all 50 states and U.S. territories, creating lasting impact in communities nationwide. At Lapeer High School, Symone Guy is our college advisor. She does a great job working with seniors in particular on finding a fit for college, trade schools, and working on FAFSA completion. ‼️ COUNT DAY THIS WEDNESDAY ‼️ We need all hands on deck for Student Count Day this Wednesday, February 12! As a reminder, the State of Michigan requires public schools to take an official count of student attendance on two designated days each school year (one in October and the other in February). Public school districts are funded on a per-pupil basis, so attendance on count days is critical. Let’s make it COUNT! #BoltUp
